Chapter 1: Childhood
Zane was born within the Chaos on Narshadda, but he was born in a noble family. His father was an Exchange Lord and his mother being his fathers favourite slave. His father was called Kakil Gural, he found much promise in Zane and ordered for him to be training once he reached the age of five in how to be the best in the exchange. Until then he and his mother would be under heavy watch and he would only be fed food making him stronger and smarter.
A week before he was to turn five his mother Soli spoke with him and said
"Son, this is very important. In a weeks time I may no longer see you. Your father will no doubt have me serving somewhere else as just another slave girl and have you under constant training. But whatever you do don't get distracted or worry about me, I'll be fine. Just... be the best that you can be". Zane simpily nodded not feeling much for his mother cause she raised him not to. All he said was
"All be even better than dad". With that she grasped her arms around him crying, knowing he would be losing her son very soon.
A week later a gammorean thug came in and asked for Soli, she came willingly and as he left the door the pig shoved her ahead and when the door shut Zane could hear her screaming in a violated way as the gammorean seemed to be snorting happily. He ignored it and awaited for when he would be called for training.
Soon a trandoshan guard open the door and could be heard saying to someone else in the direction his mom was taken to
"If your gona have fun like that at least get a room you pig!". He then turned to face Zane and said
"Come child, your instructor awaits". Zane nodded obidiently and followed the Trandoshan, but he looked behind him quickly to see the Gamorean dragging his roughed up mother elsewhere, she seemed to ignore the fact she was being dragged off and just looked at Zane with a worried look on her face.
He then entered a room where red mats covered the floor and different types of swords and blasters decorated the walls. At the end of one side of the room were targets and at the other end were dummies. In the middle was a human male standing there, he was wearing standard combat armour and holding a sword but had a pistol in his belt. He said to Zane
"So you are my new student? Very good... today will be a simple exercise... Grab that cloth over there". Zane saw a cloth on a bench and picked it up, the man then said
"Good... now put it on that rack". He pointed to a rack and Zane put in on. The man then said
"Take it off". Zane then took it off and looked at the man again who said
"Now drop it". Zane dropped it as told.
"Pick it up". Zane picked it up and gave his instructor a confused look who then said
"Now put it on". Zane was taught to always obey so he did as told without comment and then the man said
"Now repeat that until I return". The man left the room and Zane continued to do as told.
It was about eight hours later when the man returned and said
"That's enough, go have your dinner and in 10 minutes return so you may continue". Zane exhausted dropped the cloth happily and left. As he went to get dinner in the cafe where the other thugs were he helt a cold hand on his shoulder, he turned around to see his father looking down smiling. He said to him
"You seem to be doing very well Zane. I am not surprised, you were raised to accomplish great things. But you also seems exhausted, and stronger. That's good. I know you must have little time to eat so I will not keep you any longer". His father then left in an instant and began talking with some of the more higher up thugs. Zane without thinking about it proceeded to get his meal of slime and guk, high in protein and all vitamins. Once done he got up and returned to the class room.
It had now been a week of him repeating the same damn excercise and when his instructor returned today he said,
"Good, now drop that cloth and get over here". Zane did as told only for the man to slap him across the face, Zane never resisted. He yelled angrly at time
"No! Don't just let me hit you! Defend yourself!". He tried to hit Zane across the face again and Zane blocked it almost instantly, he was shocked but then kicked in the gut. His instructor yelled
"Don't lose focus!". He then proceeded to slap and kick him again and Zane blocked them both, he then tried a roundhouse kick and Zane blocked that as well and then blocked another slap. The teacher continued to attack Zane and he continued to block them all. His instructor then stopped and seemed calm, Zane calmed as well and then his instructor out of no where tried again and was still blocked. He then said
"Good. You have learned much, now return to your corridors. We begin your real training tomorrow". Zane nodded and left the room.
As Zane layed in his bed he began thinking, what was the point of all that? Will he see his mother again? What exactly did his father mean when he said 'he was raised to acomplish great things'? What kind of things? What awaited him in his training? He would have to wait and see.
