I had been thinking of creating a new forum. Its plot is to revolve over a solar system of 12 planets, most with indigenous life forms others being colonized by the original races. All of the species are humanoids, stand on two legs and have two arms(or more).The technology does not have hyperspace travel, but laser weaponry does.

I think were more likely getting post's and being active if we keep the theme star wars which we know already all of us like. Besides, switching to a new theme would mean getting rid of all of our old characters we love so much.

I think out problem is letting ourselves get to powerful and such.

Examples:

-Duvnar is just storming through Commandos
-Jon is leading an entire planet of settlers
-Corran controls an entire fleet

Really everyone has gone to get to much power except for Caredetru. But making rules and limitions on power will make us little different from Combine, and we left to make our own sites so we would not be so constricted.

But at first we really left because the Mods did not allow us fighting dark Jedi.
My idea is, everyone make their characters small time, make sure you don't go over board in power try to focus less on detailed post.

Like back on Combine we had fun posting an hour straight with one line post like "I'm fine. How are you?" and such. Now were not only obsessed with controling more people and power but we also work to hard on the details of our post.

Granted we all got a lot better at post since then and it feels right to add some detail now but let's not focus so much on detail or just posting when the time is right. Just post, have your character do something and see where it goes.

You do know that I have had a forum that is quite a bit like that for over a year now.

It enjoyed an extremely breif couple of weeks of popularity, and then everyone just stopped posting.

It was set around 17,000 A.D.(also the name of the forum), and was about a war between humans and the various races of the galaxy that had evolved from them.
The evolved peoples took Humans into slavery, and then the Humans rose up in revolt. Just click on the little www link at the bottom of my post.
